AlfaThree

AlfaThree is a remarkably durable, and versatile, fall dormancy 3 alfalfa variety. It is best used in a three- or four-cut system and is suitable for silage or hay operations. The variety has great forage yields and traffic tolerance, along with a great disease resistance package. With these characteristics, AlfaThree is ideal for the dairy and beef producers in the cooler climates of the northern U.S. and Canada or other areas that desire a three- or four-cut system.

AlfaFour Supreme

AlfaFour Supreme is a new, high-quality alfalfa variety with industry-leading yields. It replaces AlfaFour in the CHS Seed Resources product portfolio. A new conventional variety licensed by CHS, AlfaFour Supreme is a versatile fall dormancy 4 product. With remarkable winter hardiness (rating of 1.2) and a phenomenal pest resistance package, the variety can be planted over a large geographic area. AlfaFour HG

AlfaFour HG is a cutting-edge fall dormancy 4 variety. The product includes Hi-Gest® Technology, which reduces lignin and increases digestibility. The product has 5-8% higher leaf to stem ratio, and crude protein levels 3-5% higher than other conventional alfalfa varieties. On a standard 28-day cutting scheduled, the variety can see 10% less lignin content than conventional varieties. Furthermore, harvest can be delayed by a week to increase yields while still producing excellent forage quality. On a per-acre basis, animal performance can be similar to HarvXtra® varieties. Along with improved quality, AlfaFour HG has excellent winter hardiness and pest resistance ratings. For more information, click the tech sheet download link.

AlfaFive

AlfaFive is a versatile fall dormancy 5 alfalfa. It has a sunken crown for excellent winter hardiness and traffic tolerance. Its recovery after cutting is exceptionally quick. AlfaFive has very good resistance to numerous common pests and diseases. AlfaFour ST

AlfaFour ST (ST being and abbreviation for salt tolerance) is an improved fall dormancy 4 variety, with strong yields, a broad pest/disease resistance package, and good quality. AlfaFour Rancher

Many operations include minimally managed alfalfa stands, such as mixed grass stands or fields in tougher growing conditions (arid regions or rangeland, for example). Planting the newest, best-performing varieties may not always produce the best returns if water, fertilizer, pest control and harvest schedules are unpredictable or impractical. AlfaFour Rancher is an improved brand designed for minimally managed fields. 438RR Roundup Ready®

438RR is a new alfalfa variety with the Roundup Ready® trait. The variety has strong agronomic characteristics and will perform well over a large geographic area. 438RR is an excellent choice for alfalfa growers that desire quality hay or silage stands but struggle with persistent weed and grass problems. 440HVXRR

 

440HVXRR HarvXtra® and Roundup Ready®

440HVXRR combines the advantages of the HarvXtra® and Roundup Ready® traits. Along with the ability to improve quality and performance through easier weed control, the variety’s HarvXtra® trait can significantly reduce lignin content and improve forage quality and animal performance. 440HVXRR can produce hay or silage with up to 15% less lignin on a standard 28-day cutting schedule. L-446RR Genuity® Roundup Ready® Alfalfa

L-446RR has shown in numerous variety trials to be a high-yielding, high-quality Roundup Ready® variety.
