Winter Pasture Management

In the Central and Southern Plains, winter grazing is a big deal. Most of these pastures are cereal grains. It’s common to mix in forage turnips or other brassicas. Depending on geography, winter pastures in this area may also consist of annual ryegrass. These pastures provide cheap, high-quality feed for stockers.
